Minnie’s Quest - Remembering Old Times
Minnie wants you to make a ‘Rustic Clock Tower’ since there used to be one in the Valley and it has since disappeared.
You need:
100 Stone
100 Hardwood
30 Iron ingots
200 Clay
I initially thought that getting 200 clay would be the most challenging part. Like many things in the Valley, it is best done with a friend. In this case, my digging buddy WALL-E helped me reach the target fairly quickly. I had also been collecting stone from mining prior to coming across this quest. Luckily, I already had enough stored away to cover what I needed. The part that has been most challenging for me is to collect enough hardwood and iron ore to make iron ingots.
To make 1 iron ingot, you need 5 iron ore and 1 coal. I’ve been making my rounds to the Glade of Trust, Forest of Valor, and Sunlit Plateau with my mining companion in search of iron ore. I’ve also been picking up hardwood in these locations when available.
Clearing tree stumps are a great way to get the hardwood needed for this quest. In order to clear tree stumps, you must upgrade your shovel. To do this, unlock the character Anna and complete her quest, ‘An Icy Invitation.’
Once you’ve gathered enough materials, talk to Minnie and then craft and place the Rustic Clock Tower.
