Nature and Nurture - Scar’s Quest
Before you start this quest, it may be helpful to cook some meals and keep them in your inventory for later. You will be doing some mining.
Talk to Scar in his cave to begin the quest.
Enter Vitalys Mines. It is located near the river in the Sunlit Plateau (just before the bridge). Here you can mine Sapphire, Ruby, Iron Ore, Gold Nuggets, and Vitalys Crystal. As you explore the mines, you will also find up to 4 chests that you can unlock.

3. Once you navigate and explore the mines, you will come across a wall covered in large Night Thorns. Next to this is a barrel and a sign post. Read the sign post.
4. Look for the root beer recipe at the nearby campsite. Once you’ve found it, go to your inventory and ‘use’ the recipe to learn it. You should also find Dried Ginger and Crackling Candies at the campsite which you will need to make the Extra Fizzy Root Beer later on.
5. Exit the mines and talk to Merlin about your findings.
6. Make Extra Fizzy Root Beer at a cooking station. You’ll need to use Dried Ginger, Sugar Cane, and Vanilla. (Note that this is a slightly different recipe from regular Root Beer)

7. Go back to Vitalys Mines and use the shortcut to get back to where the barrel is. Put the Extra Fizzy Root Beer and the Crackling Candies in the barrel. A cutscene will begin to play and the water should now be flowing.
8. Once you exit the mines, the Forgotten will head through a portal. Follow the Forgotten.

9. The Forgotten will drop an orb as you follow. Pick up the orb and bring it to Merlin.
10. Gather the items needed for the Miracle Growth Elixir.
You’ll need: 10 Vitalys Crystals
10 Rich Soil (Can be found when harvesting crops)
1,000 Dreamlight
11. Upgrade your watering can and then talk to Merlin
12. Plant the Orb of Nurturing by digging a hole in front of the pillar. Takes about 3 days to grow. Tend to the orb by watering it.

13. Once the Orb is fully grown, the Sunlit Plateau will return to normal. Talk to Scar to complete the quest.
